Introduction

We, nurses, touch people’s lives.

We touch them in innumerable ways that somehow we don't notice.

We seldom say that what we do is just a job and it becomes a routine.

But we realize that it REALLY is a job—a job which God gave us for Him to show others of His power.

Above all the knowledge, above all the success we gained, above all the fame we had in our work, it all comes down to how we were with our patients.

Virginia Henderson once said in her interview, “I hope you forgive me if I don’t feel like a leader.  And I hope you forgive me that as far as being a great nurse is concerned, I would feel better if you thought of me as a great nurse because of what you have seen me do to my patients rather on what I have written.”

These are interview clips with Miss Henderson's niece.
